Personally, I think I have great style.
I mean.. of course I do. It's My Style.
The clothes in my closet... totallyy different.
Like a man, I hate shopping.
Hate is a word I dislike, unless necessary.
I loathe shopping.
If it weren't for my mom's excessive flea market and sample sale addiction, I wouldn't have a thing.
Shopping... as fun as it sounds... is barely ever fun.
(That's a lie, it's sometimes fun).
I am currently in the process of a Closet Revamp.
In prep of reaching my most desired goals, this is what i've done thus far.
I'll express it cute like a cake:
1. Crumb Coat.
I looked through each item of my clothes and genuinely decided: Do I need it in my life anymore? Does it look nice? Does it represent who I am becoming? Is it comfortable?
If not, wasted space.
The next cake layer I tackle, usually takes place 2-ish days later.
When starting a closet-clean-out, It is okay to work until you feel you've made a lot of progress and need to go down and have a snack (that will lead into a two day snack until you are ready to finish again). All that matters is that you actually get back into it, in some way, over the course of the next couple of days.
Last the crumb (which I will touch upon briefly) is the heart of the cake. The middle of cake where all the fun and moisture is.
2. Heart.
The fun part of the cake, skinny in the moment, but unflattering the next day is your emotional clothes. Stuff sentimental, touched by your first boyfriend, or an old best friend... once you've crumb layered, do yourself a favor and de-heart the cake.
This is un-fun. But, It totally helps.
3. Final Coat
Awesome. We made it, to the final coat and can continue to prosper from here.
