The Damn Flowers
Life at the very end of my twenty-second year is so effing dramatic.
As much as I'd love to exploit my emotions for subject matter, I've decided to… not do that (ish).
I'm on a self-love journey, which, from what I've gathered, is something that I'll be on for the rest of my life. It began when I read Buy Yourself The Damn Flowers by Tam Kaur. I finished the book in one week.
I bought myself (with my dad's card) the damn flowers yesterday and my beautiful hot pink, light pink, white and sprayed with glitter bouquet is sitting above me on my dresser right now. I am on the floor, in my gym clothes, and my past boyfriend's zip-up that I have not yet washed because I pathetically smell it every now and then.
I have my flowers and then I have my morning ritual. This consists of a few things I say to myself in the mirror…
I start of with a:
“Something cool is going to happen to me today.”
Then it's a:
“I don't give myself enough credit for how hard I'm trying.”
Then I'll turn to the side, push the blonde strands to the back of me and say:
“I'm so f**king hot.”
Oh and this last thing, it's my fav. This last thing I've developed on my self-love journey (which was not mentioned in Buy Yourself The Damn Flowers) is my no-budget.
I buy myself what I want, when I want because I trust myself, love myself and I deserve it.
Why? Because I'm a Baddieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
With Danger & Grace,
