The Plague
Well, I’ve contracted the plague... a minor cold, I'm sure.
Honestly I deserve it. I celebrated my birthday this weekend like a sailor behind the DJ booth. Justice has been served. PUT DOWN THE SKINNY MARGS!
I practically begged the universe for plans and now that I have them, I want to find the receipt and take them to my nearest dropoff point. I’m craving my bed and a book yet the streets have tied me up and are pulling me back in. So I’ll allow it, but next weekend I'm most likely staying in.
Speaking of books, I just finished mine yesterday. Attached: The New Science of Adult Attachment and How It Can Help You Find—and Keep—Love. My mom asked me what I was reading the other day, and I read the cover aloud. I felt my face grow hot with embarrassment. I'd rather she not know what's inside my books.
Tomorrow I am going into the city for my sister's best friend Frankie’s wedding. It’s going to be a fricken blast. My sister, Carolyn, is officiating, which is just fun and funny.
My dress is a black velvet gown with a sweetheart neckline and this big black beaded choker that’s attached to it. It’s definitely a moment and I’m going to eat.
Now, NyQuil and bed. Big weekend ahead and I've got to cure the plague.
